What is Azelaic Acid?

A study published in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology shows that azelaic was very effective for treating pigmentation problems and also acne severity. This study revealed early onset of azelaic acid action in both acne and hyperpigmentation when use for a month were it is being apply twice-daily. After three months of applying, 98% acne, inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne lesion was reduced. And by the end of 16 week study, the severity and distribution of hyperpigmentation on the 67% participants was disappear.
